Lyfe Jennings, an R&B singer who sold over one million copies of his debut album ‘Lyfe 268-192,’ strayed on both his wife and lover at the same time.

Lyfe had a rocky marriage with his then-wife Gwendolyn Scharkowski. On February 2, 2016, the couple married in Georgia.
However, their love did not survive long, and they divorced in February 2017.
Gwendolyn filed for divorce on 15 March 2017, just a month after their separation, and stated in her appeal that they had a little son named I am Scharkowski born in Germany in 2016.
She filed for divorce on the grounds of adultery, claiming the marriage is irreparably destroyed and there is no possibility of reconciliation. Gwendolyn also wanted the judge to decide on child support and alimony for their son.
Given the brief time of their marriage, Lyfe said that he didn’t deny fatherhood. But it was just that he didn’t want to declare paternity until a DNA test was done. For the time being, he pleaded with the judge not to issue any orders about support or custody.
The question now is, how did he cheat on her? Lyfe was hooking up with a girlfriend while secretly married to Gwendolyn.

Dated a Girlfriend While Married:
Lyfe’s fans got a sneak peek into his love life thanks to VH1’s reality series Love and Hip Hop: Atlantic. Lyfe even took out a ring for his then-girlfriend Karlie Redd in the show’s highlight segment from 2016, albeit it was only a promise ring with the vow that she will never find anybody as good as him.’ Lyfe stormed off, declaring that Karlie could keep the ring but not him.
Jennings purchased the ring as a romantic gesture, but after learning of Karlie’s affair with Scrap DeLeon, he had second thoughts about marrying her. Lyfe saying that Karlie wasn’t wifey material for him doesn’t seem appropriate for someone who was intimately involved in a relationship despite being married.
Interestingly, Karlie had no idea of Jenning’s then-wife, Gwendolyn!
But that’s not all; just when Karlie thought her ex Lyfe couldn’t get any hazier, Jessica Dime, a Love And Hip Hop: Atlanta cast member, introduced her to Lyfe’s secret baby mom, Indiya.
Charlie was skeptical at first, but then Indiya showed her the paternity test that she had conveniently brought with her.
Karlie recognized how slimy Lyfe was, and regrettably, Indiya took some fire for Lyfe’s player lifestyle. Karlie called her thirsty for bringing her the paternity test and eventually shoved her out of rage.
Similarly, Lyfe appeared on the Ryan Cameron Morning Show with Wanda Smith in June 2016, where he spilled the beans on his relationship with Karlie.
Lyfe began by expressing his actual sentiments after learning that Karlie was flirting with Deleon behind his back. He went on to say that Karlie was often in complicated situations that made him wonder,
“Is this someone I want to introduce my kids to? Is this a role model for my kids?”
Lyfe told a few stories about his connection with Karlie, but he finished with one statement:
I wouldn’t even give Karlie Redd the D for a long time. Also, I feel like you gotta earn this D. I ain’t doing it for free, and I regret giving her the D…I coulda gave somebody else this D and they would appreciate it.
Not only that, but Lyfe had a history of fumbling dating relationships. Lyfe was previously married to Joy Bounds and they had a child together.
Lyfe’s ex-wife, the mother of their two sons, said that he attempted to brainwash his boys against her and threatened her with violence.
Lyfe was caught in 2008 and sentenced to three years in prison for kicking the door of Joy’s house, shooting bullets, and leading police on a high-speed chase.
Bounds filed a motion for contempt in Cobb County Superior Court, and the two fought in court for years for custody and support, with a final ruling entered in their case in 2009.
