Britt Reid is a husband and father of two children. On July 6, 2012, he and his wife Kristen Nordland married and registered their nuptials with the Knot Registry. The wedding took place at Villanova in Philadelphia, presumably away from the prying eyes of the media and the general public.

Britt was placed on administrative leave by the Kansas City Chiefs a few days after the car accident. “We remain in the process of gathering information on the incident, and we will continue to assist local authorities as requested,” the NFL said in a statement. Our attention is still focused on [the girl] and her family. We have contacted the family to offer them our support and resources during this difficult time, and we will continue to pray for her recovery.”
