Camilo began his baseball career at the age of eight after graduating from high school, and he was drafted as a prospect in the Major League Baseball draught. In 2015, he was signed by the San Francisco Giants. He began his career in the lesser leagues before making his debut for DSL giants in 2016. The following season, he finished with 14.2 strikeouts and 9 innings pitched for the AZL giants.
In 2018, he was named an All-Star pitcher by MiLB.com and finished the season with 45 bullpen appearances. He kept his game in 2019 and 2020, however, he was unable to play due to a cancellation following Covid19. In 2021, he was a member of the Triple-A West Sacramento River Cats and was promoted to the major leagues.
He made his MLB debut against the Miami Marlins, becoming the second pitcher to throw a pitch faster than 102kmph. During the same season, he was selected National League Reliever of the Month. He pitched in 27 games and struck out 12.3 batters in 2021. In the National League Division Series, he pitched a scoreless inning against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The next year, he became the first rookie to record a two-inning save. Recently, in the fifth game of the NL division series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, his performance was subpar, and he could only manage to toss sliders, causing the club to lose the game. Against Cody Bellinger, his method did not succeed.
