Josh Ryan Evans was born on January 10, 1982, in Hayward, California, United States of America. Ryan, Josh Evan’s career began when he was 12 years old when he appeared in several ads on television. Josh Ryan, who is just 3 feet 2 inches tall, had achondroplasia, which caused him to look and speak like a kid (97cm). As a result, he was constantly cast in films as a toddler or child. He appeared in his first film, Baby Geniuses when he was 17 years old. From 1999 to 2002, he played the character Timmy in the popular soap drama Passions. Until his death in August 2002, he appeared in 132 episodes of the soap opera. The storyline of Passions was quickly altered following his death, as it was originally planned that his character would die and become an angel on the show.
He played the Young Grinch in the famous film How the Grinch Stole Christmas in 2000. Throughout his career, he was nominated for numerous accolades, including a Daytime Emmy Award for “Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series” and a Young Artist Award for “Best Performance in A Soap Opera – Young Actor.” He also received three Soap Opera Digest Awards: “Favorite Scene Stealer” (2000), “Outstanding Male Scene Stealer” (2001), and a YoungStar Award for “Best Young Actor/Performance in a Daytime TV Series” (2000).
Josh Ryan Evans died in August of 2002. The Passions episode in which Timmy dies broadcast on the same day. He was honored in this episode.
When and how did he die?
Unfortunately, this wonderful actor passed away on August 5, 2002. According to accounts, he died during a medical procedure in San Diego after complications from a congenital cardiac problem, the nature of which is unknown. As a memorial to him, the death sequence of his character Timmy, which had been taped before his death, was played on the day he died, bringing many admirers to tears.
Josh Evans’ body was cremated after his death, and his ashes were buried at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills. Even though he is no longer among us, his name will be remembered and praised.
