It was just another ordinary day for young Ross; he and his friend were at Ross’s house when his friend requested him to drive him to another friend who lived on Detroit’s east side, a hazardous zone. Ross didn’t want to at first, but as his buddies persisted, he had no choice but to say yes. Nothing suggested that Ross would be staring into the face of death in 20 minutes as the two drove to the other side, talking about ordinary things. They had arrived at their location and were getting out of the car when the first shot was fired. His friend shot him in the arm, and then another shot wounded him in the chest. The last shot struck him in the head.
How did he manage to survive? Who was his assailant?
Ross was bleeding and refusing to pass out when his so-called friend snatched his car keys and drove away, leaving him to die. He never surrendered and was eventually apprehended by a passing police officer. Ross was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead upon arrival, but physicians were able to resuscitate him. Ross opened his eyes three days after the event, following his revival and operations.
He couldn’t remember anything that happened at first, but he has gradually regained his memories. The recuperation period began, and Ross passed away without incident. His shooter’s identity has never been released to the media, and all we know is that he is two years Ross’s junior. The motive for attempting to murder Ross was gang initiation — the police apprehended him soon after the shooting, and after a trial, Ross’ shooter was sentenced to 35 years in jail.
Life Following the Incident
Ross had been interested in skating since he was a child; after his recuperation, he picked it up again and began polishing his skills. This time, it not only helped him physically, but it also helped him mentally to overcome all of the challenges. He worked tirelessly to become a professional skateboarder and is currently a part of the TCMT skating squad. For the time being, there isn’t much information regarding Ross’s career, but he could make a name for himself.
