Jessica Cisneros- Birth, Age, Ethnicity, Siblings, Education
Jessica Cisneros was born on May 24, 1993, in the border town of Laredo, Texas, and raised there. Cisneros, who is in her late twenties, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in immigration law. She later attended the University of Texas at Austin School of Law, where she earned her master’s degree in 2018. Cisneros defines herself as an immigrant who is eager to work for human rights and has advanced professionally as an attorney and clerk. Jessica received the Texas Law Fellowships Excellence in Public Interest Award, the Chicano/Hispanic Law Students’ Association’s Spirit of Community Award, the Pro Bono Award, and the Dean’s Achievement Award for being an outstanding student in the field of immigration law while in college or pursuing her bachelor’s degree.
She spent her childhood with her older sister. Her older sister once had an urgent medical requirement that could only be met in the United States. As a result, Jessica’s parents emigrated to the United States permanently and built a home in the country to provide better possibilities for their children. Jessica’s father launched a small fruit business while also running a trucking firm to make ends meet and to provide a better life for both of his daughters in terms of health, education, and knowledge. Jessica describes her parents working hard to provide a better life for their children. They had to work hard to meet the hurdles and gain access to healthcare while the immigration system was being broken down.

Jessica hasn’t spoken about the lessons she’s learned from her life story. She rarely speaks about her personal life. In terms of her marital status, she is currently unmarried. She is in her late twenties and has a long road ahead of her.
Jessica Cisneros- Professional Career
Jessica Cisneros, a young and enthusiastic attorney, portrays herself as a Mexican-American immigrant running for Texas’ 28th Congressional District and eager to fight for everyday families on her website. She ran for office for the first time in 2020, fighting for Texas’ rights as a human rights attorney and assisting jailed families who couldn’t afford counsel. Jessica began working for Texas RioGrande Legal Aid and Asylum Defense Project in Laredo around a month after the elections, where she assisted people in responding to calls from the side of immigrants and asylum seekers affected by Trump’s draconian Remain in Mexico Policy.
The primary election battleground
There were three representatives who ran for office and were on the ballot on March 1, 2022. The incumbent Democratic congressman Henry Cuellar and Jessica will face off in the late May elections in Texas’ 28th Congressional District, as none of the candidates received more than 50% of the vote in the primary elections. Henry Cuellar, who has represented the area since 2005, was recently raided by the FBI in January due to his relationships with many businessmen and his involvement in an Azerbaijan probe.
Cuellar took first place with 48.5 percent of the vote, followed by Jessica Cisneros with 46.8 percent of the vote. Tannya Benavides, an educator, and first-time candidate received roughly 4.7 percent of the vote as the third representative. Cuellar has built a solid foundation in Laredo and other rural sections of the district, allowing him to lead the polls later that day, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Cisneros, on the other hand, was able to keep Henry Cuellar under 50 percent.
