At the Scottish Music Awards this year, Lewis Capaldi, Sir Rod Stewart, and Paolo Nutini all won awards.
Sir Rod received the award for outstanding achievement in music, and he also gave a live performance during the ceremony at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom.
The Raymond Weil Global Artist of the Year award went to Lewis Capaldi. Following his return from a four-year break, Nutini won the best album and best live-act trophies.
Other winners during the event included Tamzene, Wet Leg, Gerry Cinnamon, and The View.
The 24th edition of the awards, which Edith Bowman hosted, helped support the Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Charity.
Capaldi accepted his award through a pre-recorded statement after his most recent single, Forget Me, shot to the top of the charts in September.
The King Tut songwriting award went to singer Cinnamon, while the living legend award went to Clare Grogan of the new wave band Altered Images.
Rianne Downey, a social media sensation, won the breakthrough prize. Tamzene, who opened the performance, was named an emerging talent.
Wet Leg was chosen as the finest UK artist, and The View received the unique distinction.
Craig Logan, a former Bros bassist who now runs a record business, received the Go Radio music industry honor.
The Nordoff Robbins Foundation employs music to support those who are dealing with impairments, life-limiting medical and mental illnesses, or feelings of isolation.
Sandra Schembri, the chief executive, described the evening as “wonderful.”
“We are grateful to all of the winners and artists who joined us at the Barrowlands this year and we are humbled by the Scottish music industry’s continued support of Nordoff Robins.
“The money donated through the SMAs will directly support our objective to keep spreading the benefits of music as widely as possible fostering human connection and communication through music therapy.”
