Galadriel will be portrayed by Morfydd Clark in the upcoming fantasy drama The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power from Amazon Studios. The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit, both of which are based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s books, are prequels to the series. A prequel to the movie series called The Rings of Power takes place a millennium before The Hobbit.
The first two episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will be made available on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET. The book mentions Galadriel, who is regarded as one of Middle Earth’s finest elves and the daughter of a prince of Nolodor.
Since she and her husband Celeborn jointly rule Lothlorien, she is also known as the Lady of the Lothlorien Woods. The two meet Annatar, Lord of Gifts, during this time, and work together to create the power rings. Nenya, one of the three Elven power rings, was borne by Galadriel.
