American actress Sydney Sweeney claimed on July 27 that she is not making enough money to take advantage of her newfound fame. The 24-year-old actress said that she had no one to turn to for financial support in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
In Euphoria, what did Sydney Sweeney make?
Sydney Sweeney has been working in the entertainment industry since she was a youngster, but her career took off when she was cast as Cassie Howard in the movie Euphoria.
After that, the actress received two Emmy nominations—one for Euphoria and the other for White Lotus. According to Wealthy Gorilla, Sweeney’s net worth is estimated to be $5 million, which she has accumulated from her involvement in various shows throughout the years. In the meantime, Life and Style Magazine said that the Euphoria star earned almost $350,000 every episode.
Among the famous people who appeared in the series were Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, and Alexa Demie. Sydney Sweeney has previously appeared as a guest star in a variety of television and web projects.
Among them were Grey’s Anatomy, Pretty Little Liars, Heroes, 90210, and Kickin’ It. The actress reportedly showed a keen interest in performing when she was a little child. To prepare for the role of a hostage, Sweeney, who was 12 at the time, locked herself in a cellar. Additionally, she came up with a five-year plan to convince her parents to move from Washington to Los Angeles.
2018 saw Sweeney get her first significant part as Emaline in the Netflix series Everything Sucks! This cost her a lot of other opportunities, such as roles on HBO’s Sharp Objects and The Handmaid’s Tale on Hulu.
Sydney Sweeney also made a brief but noteworthy appearance in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood by Quentin Tarantino. This year, Sydney Sweeney received an Emmy nomination for her portrayal of Olivia Mosbacher in the HBO Max web series The White Lotus.
According to her IMDb website, the actress will soon be seen in Tony Tost’s National Anthem and Madame Web.
Sweeney also mentioned the amount of money required to support her staff, which is less than an “established celebrity” would make. She remarked:
“They don’t pay actors like they used to, and streamers don’t give you residuals.” The well-known actors continue to receive compensation, but I must pay 5% of my earnings to my lawyer, 10% to my agents, and 3% or whatever to my business manager. I have to pay my publicist more than my mortgage each month.
“I wouldn’t be able to afford a six-month vacation,” the speaker said. Also, I don’t have anyone to rely on, no one I can ask for help from or to pay my bills.”
Sweeney said that even if she isn’t in debt, she now sees the necessity for brand relationships more than before.
I take offers because I have no other option since,
“If I only acted, I couldn’t afford to live in Los Angeles.”
She is a spokesperson for Miu Miu and has endorsement deals with Laneige and Armani Beauty.
