“Nicki Aycox Raab, my lovely, astute, courageous, strong, and incredibly talented sister-in-law, passed away yesterday, and my brother Matt Raab was by her side. Nicki and Matt lived a great life together in California. She was a fierce warrior, and everybody loved her.
Aycox lost the battle with leukemia following a protracted illness. She claimed that she had started therapy in March 2021 after receiving a cancer diagnosis a year prior. She experienced severe illness in January and February 2021 and subsequently said:
“I felt quite ill in January and February and thought I had covid. Finally, everything came to a head. When I was given the diagnosis of Lukemia (sic), I ended up in the hospital.
In March, she announced that she was receiving treatment for acute myeloid leukemia once more. She also disclosed that she was battling the disease. The actress was well-known for her parts in movies including Perfect Stranger, The X-Files: I Want to Believe, and Jeepers Creepers 2.

She portrays a psychic cheerleader in Jeepers Creepers 2, a horror movie from 2003. Despite receiving horrible reviews from critics, the movie made between $63.1 and $120 million at the box office.
Aycox portrayed Private Brenda “Mrs. B” Mitchell in the action war drama series Over There from July to October 2005.
The show had 13 episodes in one season before being cancelled due to low viewership. She had a guest appearance in an episode of the police procedural crime drama series Criminal Minds in 2006 as the deranged serial killer Amber Canardo.
Nicki Aycox plays Meg Masters in the first season of the renowned dark fantasy television series Supernatural. The executive producer, Kim Manners, commented on her casting:
“When you choose a woman who will be a strong figure, I think sexuality will be brought into the part. Even though it was in the script, I came up with a lot on my own.
The actor played Grace Clayton in the 2007 psychological suspense movie Perfect Stranger and Cheryl Cunningham in the 2008 supernatural suspense movie The X-Files: I Want to Believe. Then, in 2008’s horror film Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead, she played Melissa Scott. Aycox played Jaimie Allen in the crime thriller series Dark Blue in 2009. Her first EP, Red Velvet Room, was released in 2015.
