Participants must win over the show’s judges, Frankie Solarik and Julie Reiner, who will be assisted by Tone Bell as the presenter, to succeed.
One of the contestants registered to take part in the mixology competition is Kapri Robinson, host of the Soul Palate podcast. Kapri founded the charitable group Chocolate City’s Best. Its objective is to provide platforms that connect Black and Brown’s people working in the food and beverage industry with those who can help them progress in their careers.
The following is a summary of the program:
Twelve of the most inventive mixologists in the world “infuse, swirl, and blend their way through a series of high-stakes cocktail challenges for the chance to win a life-changing prize and the title of The Ultimate Drink Master.”
Before she appears on Drink Masters, get to know Kapri Robinson
Washington, D.C. native Kapri Robinson is a potential Drink Masters competitor. Through Chocolate City’s Best, she intends to fight inequality and injustice in the hotel industry.
The association also holds a cocktail competition in Washington for working mixologists. The competition started more than four years ago and has since developed into a forum for education and mentoring where people of color can connect with those who can make them successful.
“It takes away the energy of constantly shrieking against a wall of white supremacy, racism, misogyny, ageism, and all of the -isms to create something of your own that organically deconstructs what you regard as wrong.”
The Drink Masters contestant wants to alter the food industry by raising previously taboo issues. She hopes to spark a discussion to remove the obstacles that frequently confront individuals of color. At the moment, Kapri serves drinks at Allegory in Washington, DC.
She is listed as a successful bartender in the city as well as an activist on her profile. In an interview with District Fray Magazine, she talked about her work and personal life. She called both the people and the architecture of D.C. “unique.”
Robinson calls her dress sense and mixology methodology “extremely basic.” She added that she believes a great drink only needs four ingredients. In whatever she does, she clearly “gets directly to the point,” as she also stated.
Her adversaries should keep an eye on her because she will soon be featured in the Netflix series Drink Masters. Those taking part in the reality show include Aisling Gammill, Alex Velez, Christian Suzuki-Orellana, Kate Gerwin, Lauren LP Paylor O’Brien, Loyd Von Rose, Meredith Barry, Michael R. Anderson, Natalie Migliarini, Raj Shukla, Tao Zrafi.
