Charo Washer’s husband is Paul Washer. Although she had served as a missionary for 12 years, his wife did not identify as a Christian. She ultimately confided her feelings to Paul, and she believes that as a result, God opened her eyes.
Even after spending more than ten years serving as a missionary, Charo Washer, Paul Washer’s wife, felt lonely. Everything changed when she realized that being a Christian wasn’t about doing good deeds out of necessity rather than passion.
Even after noticing these things, Paul waited patiently for his wife to confess so that he might help her get along with God in his way.

The American preacher’s wife still felt hollow even after serving as a missionary for 12 years. There was no enthusiasm in what she did, and all the good deeds she accomplished were just checked off a list.
She was raised in a home where she learned the difference between right and wrong, and in the eyes of the outside world, she had done nothing wrong. But a sense of accountability and discipline drove all she did. Because she lacked the motivation or heart to read the Bible, Charo declared that she was not a Christian.
Paul frequently had Charo by his side when he gave sermons and preached in churches. The evangelist walked her through the gospel and evidence-based literature after she admitted to her husband that she wasn’t a true Christian.
He led her through 1 John, the fourth catholic letter and the first Johannine epistle of the New Testament, and helped her realize there is no middle ground. In her testimony, she thanked God for saving her when she was at her most helpless. She was thankful to God for easing her burden by instructing her to follow him with all of her beings.
Paul and his wife met while he was on a mission.
Paul served as a missionary in Peru, when he fell in love with Charo, a street preacher herself. They were sent into battle, where they walked through the woods for days without taking a shower.
In response to their questions, Paul described how he met and fell in love with his wife. We preached to street children during the war when bombs were dropping and you’d come back with lice in your hair.
I first met my wife when she was a young girl. Her devotion was to the Lord. Because her parents were against her becoming a Christian, she chose a position without defying them. She was a devoted individual, and I genuinely fell in love with her. This is why I fell in love with her.
God’s Will Involved In Charo’s Marriage
Paul was rejected when he went to seek his wife’s father for marriage. He was a missionary, a Christian, and 31 years old. He declined the marriage proposal because his father-in-law was not a Christian.
However, the pastor believed that if God wanted him to be her lover, He would get beyond this obstacle. With his father-in-blessing, the law he ultimately married her after accepting God’s will.
After 28 years of marriage, they now have a family of six children, two boys, and two girls. The HeartCry Missionary Society, which Paul created, is staffed by his wife’s photography volunteers.
