She started her acting career in the 1995 documentary movie “Wigstock: The Movie” after relocating to New York City. Without missing a beat, Candis got right into the second British-American historical comedy, “Stonewall.” She co-starred in this movie as Diva with Guillermo Daz, Frederick Weller, and Duane Boutte.
