HBO’s production of a series with copious amounts of sex and drugs is not novel. Fans were shocked that the coming-of-age teen drama Euphoria included such explicit nudity and drug use.

When Ellen DeGeneres asked him if he was aware of the naked scenes beforehand, he replied, “I had no choice.” Every scene depicts him sleeping with this man or doing something naked with this person, he explained.
On Euphoria, his character’s lack of clothing made sense, unlike in some of his previous films in which he was forced to walk shirtless to the mall. It was compatible with the story’s setting and Nate’s character as an “ultra-masculine, macho jock,” he reasoned.
The Australian actor added that they had an on-site intimacy coordinator who made sure the actors were happy with the sequences they were playing.
Concerning his level of comfort, Elordi noted that he had worked with the same cast and crew since the first season and that it was like “being naked in front of your family.”
DeGeneres responded,
“Which is also strange… To inform you, that is uncommon in this country. I am uncertain about Australia.”

Elordi discussed filming personal scenes with Alexa Demie and Sydney Sweeney in a separate interview. In the second season of Euphoria, the combination of Elordi’s Nate and Sweeney’s Cassie shocked audiences.
Elordi revealed to Entertainment Weekly that his approach to working with Sydney and Alexa Demie (who portrays Maddy) was vastly distinct. Beyond the first two episodes, Elordi and Sydney had several private scenes, which the Kissing Booth actor mentioned.
It was a pleasure to work with her throughout the duration of the project because she is so talented. “She always delivers,” Elordi remarked.
His interactions with Sweeney were tense, but they enjoyed trying various partnerships.
Other Euphoria Cast Members Who Display Nudity
Overall, there is a great deal of nudity, and no one objects. Sweeney, his often-naked co-star, claimed that she was comfortable with nudity since she never felt obliged to do it. It was the first project in which the actor felt liberated to voice her mind and express herself.
“There were instances when Cassie was supposed to go shirtless, and I would tell Sam, ‘I don’t think that’s necessary.’ “He said, ‘All right, we don’t need it,'” the actress explained.
Sweeney stated that she once felt so embarrassed that she wanted to scrub herself to the bone.
Eric Dane, who portrays Cal, Nate’s father, stated that the nudity was essential to the plot.
“Everything has a function.” Dane told E! News, “I believe it is useful so long as it has a purpose within the context of the story.”
