John Travolta And His Son Ben Smilingly Introduced Their New Furry Family Member The 11-year-old, who appeared so mature while holding their dog, is the son of the doting father and his late wife, Kelly Preston.
John, 68, sent the loveliest photo of a new friend on his Instagram account on Monday. “Ben adopted this puppy from last night’s Oscar homage to Betty White,” he wrote, standing over his kid with a black shirt and beard and a white mustache.
Ben was holding his new puppy while wearing a tank top and had short brown hair, freckles, and a smile on his face. John thanked @curtisleejamie and @pawworks profusely.
Jamie Lee Curtis, who was tagged in John’s picture, did indeed go out with the adorable animal during the 2022 Oscars’ In Memoriam portion.
During her address, Jamie Lee stated,
“The greatest gift you could offer Betty White is to open your heart and home and adopt a rescue dog like Mac-N-Cheese from Paw Works.”
She was holding the cute Mac-N-Cheese-named brown-furred puppy. “So thank you, Betty, for being a friend to us all,” Jamie Lee remarked of the deceased Golden Girls actress, who passed away in 2021, referring to the theme song of the program.
John and his son looked to have adopted a rescue animal after Jamie Lee’s call for viewers to adopt animals in need.
Sharon Stone wrote with heart emojis on John’s post,
“Yay, you buddy, Just you.” One fan exclaimed, “I couldn’t love it anymore if I tried.” Thank you for adopting, wrote a third.
Betty White, John’s new four-legged family member, arrives after his own mountain of sorrow. Ben is one of the late Kelly’s three children; Ella, 21, is the eldest; earlier, Jett was the eldest. Jett, the couple’s oldest son, passed away in 2009 after suffering a seizure at the family’s vacation house in the Bahamas.
“No one should have to endure the loss of a child,” Kelly stated at the time. It is beyond comprehension.
11 years later, on July 12, 2020, Kelly passed away following a two-year covert breast cancer fight. She had reached age 57.
Three months after Kelly’s unexpected death, John was given another blow when his nephew, Sam Travolta Jr., passed away at his home in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin – he used to brag about being a “struggling screenwriter” who required John’s assistance.
Ben occasionally appears on John’s Instagram page, including on New Year’s Eve and Christmas 2021. John uploaded an adorable video of himself, the child, and Ella reading in bed while kicking it.
John wrote in the caption of a November 2021 photograph of Ben with longer strawberry-blonde hair,
“Happy birthday, my handsome kid.” Your father is in awe of you.”
In accordance with their custom of publishing holiday-themed photographs, the father and son posed for a Halloween selfie on the beach.
Benjamin grinned as his father, who was now bald, took a picture of him at sunset. In the caption, John writes, “Happy Halloween to everyone! Which Halloween candy bar was your childhood favorite?”
