The second round of qualifiers for America’s Got Talent (AGT) Season 17 aired on NBC on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET.

Several outstanding contestants performed magic, acrobats, singing, dancing, comedy, and much more over the allotted two hours. Of the 11 acts, only two will be performed. Aiko was raised by a single mother in Tokyo and is a stand-up comedian, actor, and television personality. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift marked the beginning of the AGT competitor’s career in movies. She also had an appearance in Finishing The Game, Justin Lin’s parody film about Bruce Lee’s final picture.

She has also been on a number of other television programs, including Comedy Central Stand-Up Asia! Live, The Howard Stern Show, and The Jim Jeffries Show. The contender has also performed stand-up in a variety of places, such as prisons and naval sites.

Three-quarters of Aiko’s ancestry is Japanese, while one-fourth is Korean. The AGT contender has also appeared in music videos for several singers as well as the half-hour comedy series Laughs.

Before relocating to America to pursue an acting career, she began her career in elementary school as a catalog and commercial ad model. She made fun of her self-help books, social ineptitude, Japanese accent, and issues with her English. The audience wasn’t impressed, despite the judges’ appreciation for her performance and Howie Mandel’s standing ovation.

At the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, 54 performers took the stage for the qualification round. Only 10 contestants plus a wildcard advance to the final round after a three-week qualification round. Which of the Top 2 performers will perform at the finals evening will depend on the program tomorrow. Tomorrow, the polls will be open until 7 a.m. ET.
