In July 2009, Hector hosted a baby shower in New York to honor his wife’s pregnancy. However, the gathering was unexpectedly transformed into a crime scene as an intruder opened fire outside their home.
The frightening gunfight resulted in the instantaneous death of a teenager and the injury of two men. Police arrived after some time and discovered two firearms and 46 empty cartridge casings, but no arrests were made.
The Brooklyn native and his family were thankfully uninjured. Jamie issued a statement offering her sympathy to the families of the victims following the incident.
