Superchef Grudge Match is a new reality TV show that will premiere exclusively on Food Network in a few days. The next culinary competition series will feature two chefs who are friends or colleagues.
They’ll compete in a one-round, winner-take-all match, with the winner taking home $10,000. Darnell Ferguson, an entrepreneur and restaurateur, will host Food Network’s SuperChef Grudge Match.
Aside from his role as a presenter on the upcoming series, he also co-hosts Worst Cooks in America with chef Anne Burrell on the same network. Superchef Grudge Match will premiere on Food Network on February 7, 2023 at 9 p.m. ET/ 8 p.m. CT.
The official synopsis for the following program is as follows:
“In the new series Superchef Grudge Match presented by Darnell Ferguson, some long-standing personal and professional feuds are resolved in one-round, one-dish winner-takes-all heavyweight clashes. Darnell creates two distinct bouts in each episode in order to finally bury the hatchet and earn $10,000 cash, a rare knife from the losing chef, and eternal bragging rights over their culinary rival.”
It continues, saying:
“In this one-hour series, sparks fly in and out of the kitchen, from culinary competition rivalries and business partner squabbles to mentor vs. protégé grudges. On Tuesday, February 7th, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, Superchef Grudge Match will premiere on Food Network and Discovery+.”

Darnell competed in Guy Fieri’s Tournament of Champions, which airs on Food Network, for three seasons. According to the Food Network:
“He has also appeared on OWN’s The Big Holiday Food Fight and Food Fantasies, as well as being a regular judge on Chopped and Guy’s Grocery Games. Darnell spends his time away from the spotlight giving back to his Louisville community through his non-profit SuperChef’s CAPE and other organizations such as Blessings in a Backpack.”
