Tony additionally addressed allegations that the slap was fabricated. Because a purportedly high-quality image circulating online depicted Chris Rock wearing a face cushion to mitigate the blow, internet users suspected the viral moment was fabricated.
Tony also claimed that he disagrees with Smith’s apology, and when asked if he would “fight fire with fire” or take the “professional route” in response to the Oscars rejection, Tony responded, “It’s on bro.”
