Amazon Prime Video’s next documentary, Wildcat, is set to premiere on the streaming service on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 12 a.m. GMT (tentative time).
It tells the story of a young combat veteran who wanders into the Amazon rainforest and meets a young lady who runs a rehabilitation center. His meeting with the lady will forever change his life.
The documentary is 1 hour 45 minutes long and directed by renowned filmmakers Melissa Lesh and Trevor Beck Frost. The producers are Alysa Nahmias and Joshua Altman.

Amazon Prime Video released the official trailer for Wildcat on November 2, 2022, providing a glimpse into the young veteran Harry Turner’s thrilling odyssey as he crosses the grandeur and desolation of Amazon in a bid to rediscover the joy of life and himself.
The film begins with a stunning image of a baby ocelot climbing a tree as the veteran watches in awe. He then claims that he was medically discharged from the military while serving in Afghanistan due to PTSD. He asserts,
“I had the impression that life was unimportant. And maybe I should just leave when no one knows if I’m alive or dead.”
The trailer then briefly recounts his journey through the woods. It has a thrilling and uplifting tone that fans of nature and adventure documentaries will undoubtedly enjoy. The official summary of the documentary by Amazon Studios is as follows:

In an interview with People magazine, Turner discussed how much his life has changed and the themes explored in the film. As he stated (obtained via People),
“My life is a little different than others, but I want people to leave knowing they are not alone. The film addresses issues that will appeal to everyone, from their love of animals to their struggle with mental illness.”
Turner stated that after the documentary was finished, the Ocelot was returned to the forest. People reports that he hopes the newborn Ocelot has “formed his own ocelot family.” On Friday, December 30, 2022, Wildcat will be available on Amazon Prime Video.
