Stacia Karcher, the Married at First Sight star, recently announced her divorce from Nate Barnes. They had divorced and separated, she admitted.
Stacia informed host Kevin Frazier during the first episode of Married at First Sight Nashville on Thursday night that Nate was no longer present and that it was time for her to move on.
Stacia Karcher and Nate Barnes appeared on Season 15 of Married at First Sight. The previous couple made it to Decision Day and then stayed together. Despite their deep love, they had their own disagreements and problems.
They encountered common challenges but overcame them. It was revealed earlier this year, in November, that they were living in between homes. Nate believed that this was a better way of life. Stacia lived in the suburbs, whereas he lived in the city.
“I gave it time,” Stacia Karcher says on Married at First Sight of her divorce from Nate Barnes.
On the premiere episode of Married at First Sight Nashville, Stacia Karcher told host Kevin Frazier,
“Nate is no longer here. In fact, I am divorced. Yes, the time has come to move on. Everything he promised on the show was just words. There had been no movement.”
She went on to say,
“I gave it some thought. I sat down and waited. I waited with patience. I moved in with him to give him time to realize I was serious. I still want to be your friend. I have no ill will toward him. I’ve always adored him.”
Stacia stated that she and Nate’s relationship has no future and that their love is now “friendship love” rather than passionate love.
“Did you close the door?”
Stacia replied,
“No, we’re not returning.”
Even though Nate and Stacia said “I do” at the altar, chaos quickly followed. During the reunion show last month, the two were seen bickering on camera. Nate did not believe it was appropriate for them to live together or have children. Stacia hoped to start a family within a year. Nate, on the other hand, predicted that it would take at least a couple of years for them to develop an emotional bond.
In the episode, she was seen informing her mother,
“I asked Nate for a break… So, I guess it’s a divorce. I’m not certain. I went into the competition wanting to go faster and be okay with it. I don’t believe anyone should have gone into this process thinking, ‘Sure, I want to marry this stranger, but I want to take my time.’ ‘OK, so why did we get married?’ I believe. Do I stay with someone who isn’t present and become anchored?”
