Tom Hanks’ son Chester Hanks, often known as Chet Hanx, recently started a YouTube channel with 13.7 thousand subscribers.
The Truth About Growing Up As A Hanks, Chet’s newest video, explores with some of his life experiences. In a recent video he made, he recalled being questioned about having famous parents as a child. Chet declared:
There are many advantages, yet occasionally it can seem weird.
The fact that I wasn’t even famous, in addition to being poisonous, made my predicament more difficult. I had done nothing to deserve respect; I was just the famous person’s kid, which caused me to receive a lot of derision.
The famous youngster claimed that people would view him as an “arrogant, entitled, privileged child.” Chet prefers the term “privileged” to “spoiled” to describe himself. He claimed it was almost impossible to change people’s preconceived notions of him.
It was quite challenging to get past their defenses. As a result, I encountered a lot of scorn, rage, and hostility since everyone was ready to hate me from the inside out.
He said the following in response to the bullying he endured as a child:
It was never meant for me. My back was always being talked about in the form of s*** and gossip.
Chet’s insistence that he did not have a male hero to look up to as a child led to the most unexpected finding.
“I didn’t have a strong male role model to say, ‘Dude, f*** these guys, they’re just envious of you,'” said the author.
Chet has experienced rage issues over the years. He admitted that it took him a while to realize that “people’s opinion of someone is only a mirror of themselves.” But he said that he had modified his behavior. He no longer seeks pleasure by “self-destructing, pleasure-seeking via partying, drugs, drink, and opiates” to deal with his “anger” and “resentment.” He is more focused on “being the best” person he possibly can be.
Four children were born to 65-year-old Tom Hanks, two from his first marriage and two from his second and current union. Hanks wed Samantha Lewes from 1978 to 1987; she passed away from bone cancer in 2002. Lewes welcomed Colin Hanks, Hanks’ first child, in November 1977.
With That Thing You Do! in 1996, Colin made his acting debut. Since then, he has acted in movies like Orange County (2002), King Kong (2005), and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2006). (2017 & 2019). In 2010, Colin wed Samantha Bryant, a publicist. 2011 saw the birth of Olivia Jane Hanks, while 2013 saw the birth of Charlotte Bryant Hanks.
Their only child, Elizabeth Ann, was born in May 1982. Forrest Gump (1994) and That Thing You Do! (1996), both written and directed by Tom Hanks, featured Elizabeth as a young child.
With bylines in publications including Time, The Guardian, The New York Times, Vanity Fair, and The Huffington Post, among others, the 39-year-old is now a journalist and author. Tom Hanks wed his 65-year-old wife Rita Wilson in April 1988. Chet was their first child together and was born in August 1990.
White Boy Summer, a song that received negative reviews when it was published in April 2021, was Chet’s first song. Damn, another song was released shortly after (released in June 2021).
Chet, 31, and his ex-girlfriend Tiffany Miles have a five-year-old kid named Michaiah. Tom Hanks’ third child, Truman Hanks, was born in December 1995.
The 26-year-old has contributed to movies like West Wide Story, Black Widow, and Wrath of Man. He has served as a production assistant for Charlie’s Angels and The Cloverfield Paradox (2018). (2019). He shot the 2019 short film The Ice Queen Society as a cinematographer.
