The quest for vengeance of a vengeful CIA agent
At first glance, the plot of Amateur appears to be a common theme that has been extensively explored in action and thriller films. The James Hawes film will allegedly depict a CIA cryptographer who goes after his wife’s killers after his colleagues refuse to help him.
According to Deadline, the film’s plot is as follows:
“The plot revolves around a CIA cryptographer who, after his wife is tragically murdered in a terrorist attack in London, insists on his superiors going after them. He blackmails the agency into training him and allowing him to go after them on his own after it becomes clear that they will not act due to competing internal objectives.”
It will be some time before the project’s official description or trailer is released. Nonetheless, with such fascinating people already involved in the project, it is undeniably exciting. This news about Rami Malek’s involvement in the film comes shortly after the actor wrapped production on Christopher Nolan’s thriller Oppenheimer, which is one of the most anticipated films in the coming months.
