Tyson Venegas, a Filipino-Canadian singer from Vancouver, competed in season 2 of The Voice Teenagers Philippines at the age of 14. He was able to flip three judges’ chairs and qualify for the fight round during his rendition of the song, A Change is Gonna Come in 2020, but had to withdraw before the knockouts due to pandemic-related travel restrictions.

He won the Canadian talent show, PNE Star Showdown, and the title of youngest prize winner at the age of seven. He also received $5000 in cash to pay for trumpet, piano, jazz, and vocal lessons, and he used his title to meet his hero artist, Michael Buble.

Auditionees who receive a golden ticket will proceed to the next challenge, Hollywood Week, while Platinum ticket winners will be able to skip the first round of Hollywood Week.

After several clashes, the final 24 singers will be allowed to compete in live challenges against each other and collect public votes to win American Idol season 21. The producers have not revealed the season’s monetary award, but the previous season’s winner received $250,000.
