Recently, Paris Hilton gave birth to her first child, Phoenix Barron, via surrogate, but revealed for the first time that she had an abortion in her early 20s.
Paris Hilton had an abortion when she was a young adult. In an interview published on Thursday, February 23, Glamour magazine quoted the 42-year-old actress as saying,
“I didn’t want to talk about this because there was so much shame surrounding it.” “I was a child and I was not prepared for that,” she continued, without providing any other information about the father or her timeline.
She revealed that Roe v. Wade prompted her to make the revelation today. The former Simple Life star stated,
“I think it’s vital.” “There’s so much politics surrounding it and everything else, but it’s a woman’s body… She added, “Why should there be a law based on that?”
“Your body, your decision, and I really believe that. “It’s mind-boggling to me that they’re drafting rules regarding your reproductive health, because if it were the other way around with males, it wouldn’t be this way at all,” Paris stated in a rare political comment.
The socialite just gave birth to her first kid via surrogacy with her husband Carter Reum, revealing his name on her iHeartRadio show This Is Paris. She had the name in mind for ten years and will write about it in her forthcoming biography titled simply Paris.
“If all goes well, Carter and I will have a son by the time you read this. She wrote in the book,
“We plan to name him Phoenix, a name I chose years ago while scouring cities, continents, and states on a map for something to go with Paris and London.”
“Phoenix is a bird that burns to ashes and then rises from the ashes to soar again. I want my son to grow up understanding that tragedy and success recur throughout our lives. And this should fill us with optimism for the future,” she added.
