During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Little Miss Sunshine actress Abigail Breslin discussed a previous violent relationship. On Instagram, she detailed her two-year ordeal surviving domestic violence.
Breslin had previously disclosed on Instagram that she suffered from PTSD as a result of a former boyfriend’s sexual assault. In both instances, she did not divulge the identity of the violent partner.
Breslin authored the following post:
“I was in an abusive relationship for two years. Things started out splendidly, and I was immediately captivated. Regrettably, my assailant took advantage of my naiveté and naiveté, and as a result, the relationship became violent.”
She described the horrifying assault she endured and how she was forced to conceal the truth throughout the relationship.
Breslin states,
“I was beaten on a regular basis, confined to rooms, and forced to act as if everything was good and normal despite suffering from severe injuries that few people even noticed.” Her abuser subjected her to both verbal and physical torture.
In addition to physical injuries, there were numerous verbal insults, humiliation, and harsh verbal abuse.
She continued by expressing gratitude to everyone who assisted her throughout this trying time.
These two years were the loneliest I’ve ever experienced. I am eternally grateful to my family and friends, whose assistance was crucial and useful in allowing me to escape this terrible situation.”
Despite the fact that the actress from Zombieland did not identify the abuser, the news raised questions about her personal life. Abigail Breslin had been linked to Freddie Highmore earlier.
