MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, is the sixth YouTuber to reach 100 million subscribers. Donaldson, who began his YouTube channel in 2012, hit the milestone on July 28, 2022, surpassing PewDiePie as the second most subscribed individual.
The inventor conveyed his excitement by live-streaming the event on his YouTube channel and remarking, “Wow, this is amazing!”

In 2012, MrBeast began his YouTube career
In 2012, Donaldson began his YouTube career at the age of 14. His channel was originally called MrBeast6000. He was uploading video game content such as Minecraft, Pokemon Online, Black Ops 2, and Battle Pirates at the time.
In his first series, he tackled the incomes of renowned YouTubers, beginning with PewDiePie. He also produced supplementary content for his channel.
It took Donaldson over three years to gain 2,000 YouTube subscribers. During this time, his channel began to include a variety of topics in addition to gaming.
Thereafter, he started a series entitled “Worst Intros” in which he responded to introductions written by independent developers. These answer videos assisted him in getting further Internet popularity. But, the videos have been removed.
Between 2016 and 2017, Jimmy’s normal activities were replaced by stunts and challenges. The singularity of these issues contributed to his swift climb to fame. As his wealth expanded, Donaldson also began donating to several causes and giving back to the community.
