John Eastman’s brother-in-law, Paul McCartney, recently paid tribute to him on social media following his death on August 9. According to the article,

John was described by McCartney as one of the sweetest and brightest men he had ever met. He went on to say that John helped him with business transactions as his lawyer and that everyone appreciated his sense of humor. The author went on to say,

John Eastman was The Beatles’ attorney, and his sister Linda Eastman was married to one of the band’s members, Paul McCartney. John represented the estate of painter Francis Bacon and the family of artist Willem de Kooning, according to his NYU School of Law profile.
