Fetty Luciano, a rapper, was recently arrested on charges stemming from an alleged gunshot incident at a Long Island hotel pool party on July 10. Three people were injured as a result of the incident.
Luciano surrendered to police and was charged with attempted murder, illegal firearm possession, and reckless endangerment. He allegedly shot two guests and a security guard at The Mansion on Long Island’s Gold Coast in Glen Cove.
A security officer was attempting to separate two people who were arguing when the incident occurred. On social media, the event was dubbed the Big Fendi Celebrity B-Day Pool Party and was attended by 150 to 200 people. Everyone was terrified after hearing the gunshots. The injured were immediately transported to the hospital and are now safe.
The shooter fled the scene before the officers arrived. According to Glen Cove Chief William Whitton, the officers negotiated Marshall’s surrender and arrest following a multi-agency investigation that included assistance from the NYPD’s weapons suppression unit. Luciano could be arraigned in Nassau County on the charges on July 22.
Fetty Luciano: everything you need to know
Fetty Luciano, formerly Remy Marshall, began rapping while incarcerated. In 2018, he released the Jam with Story to Tell mixtape, which featured GS9 crew member Bobby Shmurda. Marshall grew up in Brooklyn, where he and his brother Chad both played basketball. Remy, Chad, and Bobby, on the other hand, were arrested and sentenced to prison in 2014 for a variety of offenses.
Remy began writing songs while in detention, with the help of his brother, and resumed work on his music after his release. He signed with Def Jam in 2018 and released songs like On the Wall and FASHO.
Following the arrest of Fetty Luciano
Meanwhile, following the Gold Coast incident involving Luciano, Glen Cove Mayor Pamela Panzenbeck chastised the organizers, claiming that the accused were not locals. She stated that, while private parties in the past have resulted in noise complaints, she has decided not to allow them again. The Mansion’s liquor license has also been revoked. Its lawyer, Michael Finkelstein, stated:
“Those who have planned weddings and celebrations can be assured that this temporary delay is being handled quickly and thoroughly and that all efforts are being made to resolve the issue as soon as possible.”
The number of wedding receptions and other events scheduled at the venue has not been announced. It will be interesting to see how management handles the situation in the aftermath of the shooting.
