Daniel Radcliffe has stated that he and his long-term partner Erin Darke are expecting their first child. The Mirror reported that the Harry Potter star, 33, and Darke, 38, will become parents later this year.
After supposedly meeting in 2013 on the set of the film Kill Your Darlings, the couple has been together for a decade.
Radcliffe portrayed poet Allen Ginsberg in the film, while Darke portrayed his love interest, Gwendolyn.
In 2001, when he portrayed the spectacled kid wizard in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Radcliffe shot to popularity at the age of 12.
He played the lead part in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, which was released the previous year.
The film chronicles the life and career of Weird Al Yankovic, a comedian whose parodies of famous tunes brought him renown.
Last year, Radcliffe told Newsweek,
“If my children exist, I would love for them to be around film sets.”
Darke, who was born in Michigan, is best known for her part in the 2015 series Good Girl Revolt. Most recently, she appeared in the Prime Video comedy The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Rupert Grint, who portrayed Ronald Weasley in the Harry Potter films, has a three-year-old daughter named Wednesday with actress Georgia Groome.
