In July of 2017, the actress from Brave New World posted an Instagram snapshot of her then-boyfriend [now husband] Alan Riggins. The message included a photograph of him lying on the floor in black and white.
In January of that year, he published another photo of himself with the actress, this time with the caption “Glad to be ringing in the New Year with this cone head.” According to the image chronology, they began dating in 2016 and made their relationship public on Instagram in 2017.

On April 9, 2018, a post to Instagram by Bunbury made headlines. She made the announcement a day after her engagement to Alan Riggins by posting images of herself with the diamond ring.
In one of the photographs, the actress can be seen crying with happiness, her hands clutched over her face. On her trip to the Bahamas with her boyfriend, a furniture designer, she allegedly received a proposal.

Bunbury and Alan Riggins decided to wed after around four years of courting. They did the right thing by getting married on New Year’s Day, 2020.
The actress informed her Instagram followers on January 2 by posting a snapshot from her wedding day. On her wedding day, she wore a long white bridal gown, while her husband wore a blue suit with a matching white shirt. The intimate nuptials took place in Funchal, Madeira.
