Before she appears on Renovation 911, get to know Lindsey Uselding

Lindsey Uselding, a co-founder of Practice house and an emergency house remodeling specialist, will co-host remodeling 911 on HGTV with her sister. From 1998 to 2002, the cast member of the new renovation-focused show attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business studies while studying human resources, management, and marketing.

The reality TV star began her career at Target, where she worked in a variety of capacities. In January, she started as a senior team leader and was promoted to shop director three years later. Lindsey spent nearly two years working in Winona before being transferred to Minneapolis and taking on the same job. She worked there for almost six years before being promoted to Manager of Store Communications.

The Renovation 911 co-host then spent nearly a decade working for Ungerman Inc. before accepting a deal with HGTV for its upcoming show in February 2021. Lindsey co-founded Practical Home in 2022, where she still works with her sister Kirsten, who will appear in the new makeover show. The sisters are experts in the field, according to their website, practicalhome.com:

“Forefathers of modern, functional home design with extensive experience in restoration, remodeling, and emergency response.”

Lindsey’s profile, on the other hand, emphasizes her qualifications, stating:

“I’m passionate about giving you actionable tips to protect your home and provide you with peace of mind.” As the vice president and co-owner of Minneapolis-based building company Ungerman, Inc., I don the emergency rescue cloak at Practical Home and Renovation 911.”

It continues, saying:

“I teach astute mavericks like you how to avoid problems and solve them with tried-and-true practical magic.”

Ungerman, a cast member of the HGTV show, explained to her college school that when her father hired her, the company had been in operation for 38 years, and it was time to “work on the business rather than in the business.”

Lindsey stated in the HGTV press release:

“When a client has an emergency, Kirsten and I ensure that their family is safe and that they are able to return to their home as soon as possible.” We assist them with the repair process, but our work extends beyond that. It all comes down to reuniting a family with their home.”
