In 1996, Miler enrolled in the Leeds United Youth Academy after completing his education. Six years later, on November 10, 2002, he made his debut by replacing Jason Wilcox in a game against West Ham United. At age 16, he made his Premier League debut, moving up to second-youngest player ever.
