Kat Rosenfield’s Parents
Kat Rosenfield was born on March 16, 1982. She is from Coxsackie, New York, where her parents, Josh and Helen Kelly Rosenfield, live.
Josh, Kat’s father, is a doctor in Coxsackie. Helen, her mother, is involved in local school events, particularly in the creation of costumes for stage productions.
Noah Rosenfield, Kat’s brother, graduated from Drew University with a degree in electronic arts. He works as a digital developer in New York.
Kat Rosenfield’s Professional Career
Kat Rosenfield worked as a publicist for the Penguin Group after graduating from Drew University with a bachelor’s degree in Art/French in 2003.
Rosenfield worked as a freelance copywriter for several companies between 2007 and 2009. However, the subsequent recession caused her to lose many jobs.
But things turned out for the better when Rosenfield began freelance writing. She began writing advice columns for Crushable.com in 2010, worked as a reporter for MTV News for six years, and spent a decade creating content for SparkNotes.com.
Rosenfield is best known for her Time Inc. articles and as a TV recapper for Us Weekly.
The self-proclaimed zombie enthusiast is also a New York Times bestselling author of young adult novels, beginning with Amelia Anne is Dead and Gone in 2012. She co-wrote Stan Lee’s A Trick of Light and wrote the 2014 book Inland. Her latest novel, No One Will Miss Her: A Novel, will be released in October.
