Wexler graduated from Art Center College of Design intending to design record covers. He was the first person to be introduced to digital imaging in the United States. Tony Redhead, the company’s founder, decided to embrace digital imaging technology and began working there full-time.

Wexler’s first record cover job was to photograph “The Brothers Johnson.” Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Missing Persons, and Chaka Kahn are among his other covers. In 1985, he also worked with advertising clients. His photography services included logo treatments, record covers, movie titles, and book covers, among other things.

Wexler also worked with ‘TIME Magazine’ on feature illustration. In  2003, he was named “Photojournalist of the Year” by the International Photography Awards. He is also a published author, with two books, “25:25” in 2005 and “The Secret Life of Cows” in 2007.
