Ferrario was named to the All-Big Ten Conference Second Team while playing guard for the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He was instrumental in Michael Bennett’s and Heisman champion Ron Dayne’s early careers.

In Big Ten history, he is one of only three players who have started all 50 games of their careers. He also played for the Badgers of Wisconsin.
In 1999 and 2000, he helped the Wisconsin Badgers win the Rose Bowl, becoming the only Big Ten institution to do so.
The 44-year-old Wausau native was drafted by the Packers that year. He played for the Packers, the Redskins, and the Panthers before retiring in 2005.
In the fourth round (201st overall) of the 2001 NFL Draft, Ferrario was chosen by the Green Bay Packers.
During the 2002 season, he was a member of the Packers and played in all 16 games.
After being waived by Green Bay in 2003, Ferrario was officially released on September 5, 2004. He joined the Washington Redskins on February 4, 2004.
He joined the Carolina Panthers on November 11, 2004, although he did not play for the team that season. The Panthers waived Farrario on August 28, 2005.
Defendant, a former player for the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers, is facing domestic abuse and disorderly conduct allegations.
On Tuesday, Bill Ferrario was arrested in his Wausau residence. When the police came, Ferrario was reportedly intoxicated and shouting.
Twice in succession, identical complaints had resulted in police being called. That night, Ferrario was taken to a motel. He got back around 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Bill Ferrario, a former player for the Green Bay Packers, pleaded not guilty to a second count of disorderly conduct and driving under the influence.
On Tuesday, Ferrario’s neighbors phoned the Wausau Police after hearing yelling and stumbling coming from inside the house.
When the police arrived, he was yelling and tossing things in his garage. Two of the houseguests admitted that they were terrified of Ferrario. Then he was said to have been disruptive.
For the second time on Wednesday, he was also charged with DUI. The charge relied on a past event.
His criminal complaint states that on October 12 in the city of Wausau, a single-vehicle accident occurred on County Highway X at State Highway 52.
According to their findings, Ferrario was alone in his vehicle when he took a wrong turn with his pickup truck and utility trailer.
According to the official documents, Ferrario said that he had been drinking before the accident. The following is an excerpt from what he reportedly said: “From 4:30 a.m. until now, a bottle of vodka ranging from half to a third of a liter.” That crash took place around 11:45 a.m.

The Marathon County Jail is where Ferrario has been held since January 3. He was released after posting a $1,500 signature bond.
A routine court appearance is scheduled for February 8th. It’s possible that Bill won’t go to jail anytime soon.
We can assume the ex-Packer is not now behind bars because he was released on bond. What happens to him after that will be revealed on February 8.
At the moment, Ferrario is working as a salesman. In addition, he helps local athletes hone their skills by coaching them at summer football clinics.
