Ms. Clancy attempted suicide by jumping out of a two-story window after strangling her children, but she survived and is being treated at a Massachusetts hospital.
Clancy was arrested last week on three counts of strangling, murder, and three counts of battery and assault with a weapon.

Clancy, they believe, was suffering from postpartum psychosis when she strangled her three children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan.
According to Dr. Abbie Goldberg, postpartum psychosis may not appear for weeks or months after a family takes home a newborn.
She claims that almost half of new mothers suffer from depression for a few weeks after giving birth.

He said that his wife was suffering from postpartum psychosis, which was deteriorating on a daily basis.

As Patrick recalls his wife’s condition, Lindsay liked being a labor and delivery nurse and a dedicated mother.

Patrick forgave Lindsay and said that she was lavishly compassionate and caring to everyone, including him, their children, family, and friends.

The father of the three deceased said that his marriage to Lindsay was wonderful and grew stronger as her medical condition deteriorated.
He also acknowledged his love for his wife by stating that he was just as proud to be her husband as he was to be a father.
Patrick said that he fell in love with Lindsay the moment he lay eyes on her, just like in the movies.
Mr. Clancy, father of the three deceased children, concluded his remarks by pleading with the audience to forgive his wife, Lindsay.
