Helen began dating Emmy-winning playwright, actor, writer, and director Kenneth Branagh in the 1990s. They met for the first time in 1988 while attending a poetry reading.
They never genuinely sat down and had a meaningful conversation, according to Helen, until she was cast in Kenneth’s 1993 film Frankenstein, directed by him.
A year after the film’s release, Kenneth divorced his then-wife, actress Emma Thompson, and began dating Helena.
