Jacoby played NCAA football for Florida before moving on to NC State. He was selected by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
After his first season, Brissett was traded to the Indianapolis Colts, where he started every game in 2017 and 2019. Later, in 2021, he played for the Miami Dolphins before switching to the Browns the next season.
In 2011, as a true freshman at Florida, Brissett served as John Brantley’s backup. After sustaining an injury in October, Brantley began his first two professional games.
He participated in his first professional game against No. 1 LSU. In the 41-11 defeat, he completed passes for 94 yards, one score, and two interceptions.
