Following the sad tragedy in which the American professional wrestler lost his life, media attention focused on Jay Briscoe’s wife.
In his stint with Ring of Honor, Jamin Pugh, better known by his ring as Jay Briscoe, and his brother Mark Briscoe won the ROH World Tag Team Championship for the 13th time.
One of the finest professional tag-team wrestlers in the world and member of the Ring of Honor, Jay, has gained attention after a horrific automobile accident in Laurel, Delaware, at the age of 38.
Tony Khan, owner of the Ring of Honor and All Elite Wrestling companies, tweeted on January 17, 2023, “Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away.”
Additionally, Briscoe was one among two persons killed in a vehicle accident near Laurel, Delaware, according to pro wrestling writer Dave Meltzer.
The wrestler held titles for six-man tag teams and was a two-time ROH World Champion.

The Sun reports that Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer believes Jay is believed to have perished in an automobile accident on January 17, 2023, about 530 p.m. near Laurel, Delaware.
On January 17, 2023, Tony Khan, the wife of Jay Briscoe, tweeted to announce Jamin Pugh’s death, writing, “Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away.”(Source:Twitter)
The exact cause of Jay’s premature death, however, is made public by the media.

Meet Mark Briscoe, The brother of Jay Briscoe
The Briscoe Brothers, made up of brothers Jay and Mark Briscoe, were well-known for working with the American promotion Ring of Honor (ROH) for 19 years.
In a three-on-one handicap match versus Trent Acid, Jay and Mark made their Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) debuts on January 20, 2001, at Delaware Invasion.
A total of 12 Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships were won by Jay and his brother Mark Briscoe. The Era of Honor Begins, ROH’s first event, featured the wrestler in 2000.
The wrestler and his brother Mark were both nominated for the ROH Hall of Fame in March 2022.
The Briscoe Brothers beat FTR in a dog collar match at the Final Battle to win the title a record 13 times in ROH World Tag Team competition.

In Salisbury, Maryland (USA), on January 25, 1984, Jay Bricoes was born to his parents.
Unfortunately, no information is also known on his parents.
Although the identities of Jay’s children have been made public, he said in an interview that his son is 13 years old, like basketball but isn’t particularly into wrestling.
Jay stirred some debate in May 2013 on Twitter when he threatened to kill anybody who attempted to “teach his kids that there’s nothing wrong with same-sex marriage.”

Although he claimed to be from Sandy Fork, Delaware, Jay was really a resident of Salisbury, Maryland.
The wrestler agreed to give the nonprofit group Partners Against Hate (PAH) his whole earnings from the next two events.
