The legal limit is 35 micrograms, but Pierce had 82 micrograms of alcohol in 100 milliliters of breath. Additionally, a saliva test revealed the presence of cannabis. He was then detained for manslaughter and drug-related driving. Additionally, he was eventually convicted guilty and testified on March 3, 2023, at Warwick Crown Court.
Pierce was given a 21-year sentence for manslaughter and a further 3-year term for seriously endangering others while driving recklessly.
