Gay, a father of three, testified about his trauma when he was 13 at the Katy Independent School District board meeting.

According to his statement, “he had his head pushed in a urinal where it busted his lip.” He continued by expressing his conviction that Superintendent Lance Hindt was responsible for pushing him into the urinal.

Barrett reported that after being dismissed from school, he even thought about committing himself.

The reason he was chosen for this was because he was known as “Greg Gay” at the time.

Additionally, he asserts that the bullying episodes forty years ago at a junior high school close to Houston left him feeling helpless.

Greg Gay then changed his name to Greg Barrett. He acknowledged to Inside Edition that hearing horrifying instances of bullied youngsters on social media had inspired him to speak out.

At a public forum at a board meeting on March 19, Greg said that Superintendent Lance Hindt had bullied him while they were both students at a Katy ISD middle school.

He also alleges that one of the pupils who physically attacked him there in seventh grade was Lance Hindt, the district’s current superintendent.

Barrett, who now goes by his mother’s maiden name, said that Hindt allegedly forced his head into a urinal and that he was made fun of for having the legal last name Gay.

Greg, a businessman, told Inside Edition that after reading horrifying instances of harassed youngsters on social media, he was inspired to speak out.

In a board meeting, Hindt looked to giggle but did nothing when the guy aired his opinion during a meeting of the Katy ISD with few participants.

The reputable teacher who took over as district head in the middle of 2016 made a statement the next day stating he didn’t remember his middle school classmate and that the accusation “just isn’t true.”

Barrett is now a wealthy businessman with a close-knit family who often gets supportive letters from individuals all around the globe.

Lance Hindt Issues Apologies Regarding Bulling Scandal On April 2, 2018, Lance Hindt, the Katy ISD superintendent, expressed regret to KISD staff.

Communityimpact claims that more than two weeks have passed since Greg Gay, a Hindt businessman, accused him of serious bullying at a board meeting on March 19.

Videos of Barrett’s comments to the board rapidly went viral, with one video reaching over a million views, and major outlets including the Washington Post reported the event.

On March 20, Hindt reacted, saying that Barrett’s accusations “simply were not accurate” and that he did not remember him from his youth.

Lance simply implies that he wasn’t a part of the bullying, not that Mr. Barrett wasn’t subjected to it. Bullying has to end. According to Hindt, it was then and it is still now.

Hindt stated, “He is glad to lead a district that doesn’t back down from dealing with bullying, whether it be offline or online.” The superintendent of Katy ISD.
