Kwong Kau, Abby Choi’s father-in-law, is thought to have planned the model’s murder, according to Daily Nation Pakistan. Three days after she had been reported missing, Abby Choi, a socialite and well-known model from Hong Kong, was discovered dead on February 24, 2023. The headless corpse of the model was discovered in a hamlet in the Tai Po district of Hong Kong.
According to reports, the police have arrested six individuals as suspects in Choi’s murder, including her ex-husband, her ex-parents-in-law, her ex-brother-in-law, the alleged lover of her ex-father-in-law, and a 41-year-old man. When the news of Abby Choi’s passing became widely known, it attracted public interest on a global scale and was covered by foreign media.

Father-in-law Abby Choi is charged with planning her heinous murder and mutilation. Two days after she went missing on Wednesday, the model’s body parts were discovered in the refrigerator of Hong Kong’s ex-pot husband and his parents. It is believed that Choi, who came from a rich family with links to the Chinese market, had a net worth of around HK$100 million (£11 million).
The Standard claims that the former Abby Choi’s father-in-law was freed on bond and will have to appear at the police station in late March. Choi’s ex-husband and his three family members are scheduled to appear in court on May 8. According to rumors, the father-in-law of the former Abby spent more than HK$50,000 per month to rent homes, although it is unclear how he managed to do so.
Additionally, local media sources revealed that Kwong Kau had hired several lawyers after his arrest. Through his lawyer, he reportedly sent a message to Chris Tam, Choi’s current de facto husband, and his family in the hopes that Chris’s father would foot the bill for the legal expenses.
It has been more than 10 years since Kwong Kau left the police force; it is unclear whether he has subsequently found work. The investigation was delayed substantially because the ex-father-in-law of Abby Choi had previously been demonstrated by the Hong Kong police to have been obstructive after his imprisonment.
Death of Abby Choi
Following Abby Choi’s missing person complaint, police launched an investigation. Two days later, they recovered what they believe to be Choi’s legs hidden behind a refrigerator at an apartment.
Police said that the former father-in-law of Abby Choi had just recently leased the residence. Additionally, they claim that the ex-family spouse lied to law enforcement about the model’s whereabouts before Choi’s kidnapping.
The apartment also had a meat grinder, two soup pots filled with human tissue, an electric saw, a hammer, face shields, and black raincoats. On Sunday, Anthony Kwong, Kwong Kau, and Alex Kwong were all accused of killing Choi after police discovered a skull, hair, and rib bones in one of the pots that had been removed from the residence on Friday.
The world was outraged by the gory details of the alleged murder. Authorities retrieved a blood-spattered seven-seater vehicle from Kwong Kau’s home and believe it was used to assault the model. The hands and torso of Choi are among the body parts that have gone missing, according to the authorities, who claim that they have been unable to find them.
