He and his wife, Nandi Madida, paid tribute to Zakes Bantwini Father, Sihlangusihle Jeffrey Khanyile, who died away unexpectedly last week.
The loss of Zakes Bantwini’s father, Sihlangusihle Jeffrey Khanyile, is being mourned by Zakhele Madida. TheOsama singer said on Monday that his father suddenly died away last week.
The 65-year-old father of Zakes Bantwini abruptly died away on January 4 in the evening at his homestead in eNkandla, KwaZulu-Natal, according to sources.
Zakes Bantwini’s family has asked for privacy and for their prayers as they mourn the loss of his ailing Father, Sihlangusihle Jeffrey Khanyile.
His demise was confirmed by the family in a statement to TshisaLIVE. Khanyile died suddenly on January 4 at his homestead in Nkandla, northern Kwa-Zulu Natal, about 9 p.m.
Together, his children issued a statement in which they expressed their sorrow at their father’s demise.
We shall miss his grit, sense of humor, and unwavering insistence that we uphold our culture. We shall miss him a lot since he was kind and loving.
Zakes shared a picture of a white dove on Instagram to make the announcement.
Zakes’ wife, Nandi Madida, sent a note in the comments section to console her husband and commend him for being a good son to his departed Father while he was still alive.
Nandi paid tribute to her “Father in love” in a post on her own Instagram account.

There are records of three of Zakes’ five known offspring, who are not from his current marriage. It is known that he was a teenager when his 20-year-old firstborn was born.
