When they departed Radio 1, Dave and Chris supposedly had a falling out and had separate farewell celebrations.
The conflict is said to have started because of Chris’ acquaintance with Dave’s ex-wife Jayne Sharp. Naturally, Dave did not go to the new station with him.
After spending 16 years at Radio 1, he has now transitioned to commercial radio, co-hosting a program on Manchester’s Hits Radio with Gemma Arterton and working to create films and podcasts for a company in London.

Details about Dave Vitty and Chris Moyles’ families
David went to Bedford School and Glenealy Junior School. He acquired the moniker “Comedy Dave” because he used to manage the school’s canteen and would tell jokes to boost sales, many of which were imitations of the professors’ accents.
After high school, Vitty attended college to study radio production, but he never intended to be on the air. He started his career as a copywriter on December 5th, 1996, and afterwards moved on to work as a “tech op” for Radio 1.
He met Chris Moyles in 1997, and the two got along well enough that Moyles asked Vitty to work on his early morning program.
On April 22, 2011, Vitty and Jayne Sharp announced their separation.
Moyles, who went to Mount St. Mary’s Catholic High School, was born in Leeds, West Riding of Yorkshire, to postman Christopher Moyles and housewife Hannah Veronica “Vera” Moyles.
At WBHS (Wakefield’s Broadcast to Hospitals Service), a hospital radio station in West Yorkshire with volunteer workers, he started his broadcasting career while still in school.
Moyles departed WBHS to serve as DJ Carl Kingston’s assistant at the neighborhood radio station Aire FM. During this time, he was also a Radio Top Shop announcer in the Leeds Briggate location.
After hosting his own Saturday Evening Show on Aire FM (and sometimes filling in as a stand-in broadcaster), he was recruited as a presenter at Radio Luxembourg in 1992.
