A hip injury forced Rico Dowdle, a rushing back (RB) for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL), to be placed on injured reserve (IR).

He averaged over six yards per rush through the first six games of the season before suffering a right knee injury against the University of Florida that required him to miss the following two games.
