On October 27, 2021, Paul Smart, an Englishman who competed in short circuit motorcycle road races, was killed in a car accident. After David Gladwell was found guilty, the case of Paul Smart’s death has once more gained attention.
Prior to competing in Grand Prix, Paul Smart, an English motorcycle road racer, competed on short circuits.
Smart started racing in the second half of the 1960s after enrolling in the Charles Mortimer Race School at the Brands Hatch racetrack in Kent in 1965.
He first bought a Bultaco, which was costly and unreliable, and afterwards rode a variety of equipment in various classes on UK short circuits.
Smart chose to hang up his leathers and stop competing in 1978 after breaking records for Ducati and winning additional races so that he could concentrate on his motorcycle business, which he later divided into three.
He sold the family’s companies and campground in Kent, then moved on to formalize his lifelong hobby by becoming a certified offshore sailing captain.
Sadly, the 78-year-old racing enthusiast Smart was killed in a car accident on the afternoon of October 27, 2021, when he was traveling by motorcycle between East Sussex and Kent.
Here is what we know about the death of Paul Smart.
