Lovetta Armsetead and Gary had been married for a long period, and the murder investigation revealed more about them.Gary admitted to murdering his wife and their kid after discovering his wife planned to annul their marriage a year prior.
They were an average family that had a wonderful life together. Gary said he had no idea why she wanted to end their marriage. The pair was happily together until the husband found out about the divorce; he loved her and did not want to quit their relationship. Unfortunately, he murdered his wife and daughter in rage while arguing and confessed to the police.
“I took not one, but two people that we all loved, and I had to live with that while I was here,” he said before passing away on Tuesday. Green, now 51, was convicted in 2010 of the murders of his wife, Lovetta Armstead, and their 6-year-old daughter, Jazzmen Montgomery. He committed the murder a year prior after learning that his wife wanted to divorce him. Green murdered Armstead and drowned Montgomery in a bathtub. Green subsequently turned himself in to the police and confessed to the killings.
The couple had three children together, including Jerrett, 9, and Jerome, 12, who were also targeted in Green’s murder attempt but survived. He tried suicide by eating a significant quantity of medication after attempting to murder all five members, but he lived. Green couldn’t bear the guilt of murdering his daughter and wife, so he went to confess the following day.He went to a psychiatric facility in Dallas before the murder because his mental condition was deteriorating. He met with the psychiatrist for follow-up a day before the murder; it was apparent that he was not in normal mental condition when he attempted to kill everyone with him. Despite the fact that he was not mentally stable, he was sentenced to death.
Ray Montgomery, the Father of Jazzmen and a witness to the execution, indicated that he regarded his death as a result of the legal system’s process. “It’s retribution for how my daughter was tortured.” “It’s justice for the way Lovetta was murdered,” Lovetta’s father, Ray, said.
