Stephen Tanswell, 45, was walking near exit five of the M60 near Didsbury, Manchester, on December 16, 2016, at about 19:45 GMT. A Mini Cooper hit him.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) say that he was taking a cab home before the accident.
Detectives from the Greater Manchester Police (GMP) found out that Stephen was on his way home in a cab when he was hit by the Mini Cooper. There has already been talk with the people driving both cars.
The cops want to hear from anyone who has information about Stephen getting out of the cab or dash cam film.

Joanne Tanswell, Stephen Tanswell’s wife, says that his three kids are “devastated” by his death.
Joanne Tanswell said that she couldn’t live without her husband. She asked anyone going clockwise on the M60 that night to stop and think. She also asked them to tell her if they saw a car on the hard shoulder just before Junction 5.
Ms. Tanswell says that her husband is both her best friend and her soul mate. His death was and still is a tragedy that could have been prevented.
She said that his death had ruined their happy life and made her and their three kids feel terrible.
Since it’s been a year since he was hit on the highway, his family is asking the public to help the cops solve this case. GMP says that both of the drivers have already been called.
Officers said they were especially interested in hearing from anyone who saw Mr. Tanswell get out of the cab or had dashcam footage of the event.

Stephen’s wife, Joanne, gave a moving speech about him and asked anyone with knowledge that could help police figure out what happened to her husband and led to his death to come forward.
Stephen Tanswell said that she, his children Jacob, Oliver, and Emily, and their families couldn’t live without Stephen. She was sad that it had been a year since he was hit on the highway, and the cops are asking a family to help them figure out what happened.
She has also asked anyone with a dashcam video of that trip to get in touch with the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
