According to Wikipedia, she had been in the hospital for more than three months and was receiving therapy from October 2022. Her media business pals rallied people to donate blood for an emergency transfusion when she was hospitalized to Kenyatta National Hospital in late October with cervical cancer.
Following her death from cancer, a close friend in the media sent condolences to her family through Twitter. Her family knew of her death on the evening of December 29, but the public learned of it just this morning.
